Daniel Flynn is an Australian cricketer who has represented his country in Test and One Day International cricket. He is a right-handed batsman and right-arm fast-medium bowler.
Flynn was born in Brisbane, Queensland on 21 October 1985. He is the son of former Queensland cricketer, Terry Flynn. He has two brothers, one of whom, Matthew, is also a professional cricketer.
Flynn was educated at Brisbane Grammar School and the Australian Cricket Academy. He made his first-class debut for Queensland in 2005 and his Test debut for Australia in 2008.
Flynn has played for a number of domestic teams in Australia, including Queensland, New South Wales and Tasmania. He has also played for English county side, Lancashire.
Flynn’s international career came to an abrupt end in 2010 when he was dropped from the Australian Test team after a string of poor performances. He has not played for Australia since.
Flynn has struggled with injuries in recent years and his career has been hampered as a result. He was released by Queensland in 2013 and he is currently without a first-class team.
Flynn’s net worth is estimated to be $5 million. He is married to former Miss World Australia, Erin McNaught. The couple have two children together.
