Warren Lieberstein is an American television producer, writer, and director. He is best known for his work on the American version of The Office, where he served as producer, writer, and director.
Lieberstein was born in Stamford, Connecticut, and raised in Westport, Connecticut. His parents are Barbara and Stanley Lieberstein. He has two sisters, Risa and Jill. Lieberstein attended Staples High School, where he was a member of the improv group, “The Groundlings.” He then went on to study at Wesleyan University, where he majored in film.
After college, Lieberstein moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in television. He began his career working as a writer’s assistant on the sitcoms Roseanne and 3rd Rock from the Sun. He then went on to write for the sitcoms Off Centre and The Ellen Show. In 2005, Lieberstein joined the writing staff of The Office. He served as a producer, writer, and director on the show for its nine-season run.
Lieberstein is married to actress and writer Jennifer Crittenden. They have two children together.
