Strays is a 1997 American drama film directed by Larry Clark and starring Leo Fitzpatrick, Justin Pierce, and Rosario Dawson. The film follows a group of young skateboarders in New York City during the summer of 1993, and is based on Clark’s own experiences growing up in the city.

The film was controversial upon its release due to its depiction of drug use, violence, and sex, and was banned in several countries. It received mixed reviews from critics, but has since been praised for its realistic portrayal of teenage life.

Leo Fitzpatrick was born in 1978 in New York City. His parents divorced when he was young, and he was raised by his mother in the city’s Lower East Side. He began skateboarding at the age of 12, and soon became involved in the local skateboarding scene. He dropped out of high school at the age of 16, and began working odd jobs to support himself.

In 1993, Fitzpatrick was approached by Larry Clark to star in his film Strays. Fitzpatrick agreed to star in the film, and also served as a consultant on the project. Strays was filmed over the course of one summer in New York City, and was released in 1997.

The film was a commercial and critical failure upon its release, but has since gained a cult following. Fitzpatrick’s performance in the film was praised, and he has since gone on to star in several other films and television shows. He currently resides in Los Angeles.
