Ron Jones is an American composer, best known for his work on the television series Family Guy and American Dad!.

Born in Los Angeles, California, Jones was raised in a musical family. His father was a professional musician, and his mother was a music teacher. Jones began playing the piano at an early age, and went on to study music at the University of Southern California. After graduation, he worked as a music producer and arranger for several years before landing his first major composing gig on the animated series Family Guy.

Since then, Jones has composed the music for numerous television shows and films, including American Dad!, The Simpsons Movie, and The Emoji Movie. He has also won two Emmy Awards for his work on Family Guy.

Jones is married to fellow composer Wendy Melvoin. They have two children together.
