Norman Rose (born October 25, 1925) is an American actor and voice artist. He is best known for his role as Mr. Peterson in the television series The Odd Couple (1970–1975).

Rose was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Jewish immigrants from Poland. His parents were both in their teens when they emigrated to the United States. Rose has two older sisters. He was educated in the New York City public school system.

Rose began his acting career in the 1950s, appearing in such television series as The Phil Silvers Show and The Twilight Zone. He made his film debut in the 1959 comedy Plan 9 from Outer Space. In the 1960s, he appeared in episodes of The Dick Van Dyke Show, The Beverly Hillbillies, and Bewitched.

In 1970, Rose was cast as Oscar Madison in the television adaptation of Neil Simon’s play The Odd Couple. He played the role for five seasons, until the series ended in 1975.

After The Odd Couple ended, Rose appeared in a number of films and television series, including The Love Boat, Fantasy Island, Hart to Hart, and Magnum, P.I. He also did voice work for animated series such as The Transformers and G.I. Joe.

In recent years, Rose has appeared in episodes of Hot in Cleveland and Two and a Half Men. He has also done voice work for the video game Grand Theft Auto: Vice City Stories.

Rose is married to actress Barbara Bain. They have two daughters, Tracy and Julie. Bain also appeared with Rose on The Odd Couple; she played Felix Unger’s ex-wife, Gloria.

Rose has a net worth of $5 million.
