Mara Schiavocampo is an American television journalist. She is currently the national correspondent for NBC News.

Schiavocampo was born in New York City, New York on October 16, 1980, to Italian-American parents. She has two older sisters. Schiavocampo was raised in the Bronx and attended the High School of American Studies at Lehman College. She went on to earn her bachelor’s degree in broadcast journalism from Syracuse University.
Schiavocampo began her career as a general assignment reporter for WTVH-TV in Syracuse, New York. She later worked as a reporter and weekend morning anchor for WESH-TV in Orlando, Florida. In 2006, she joined ABC News as a correspondent, based in New York City.
During her time at ABC News, Schiavocampo reported on a wide range of stories, including the 2008 presidential election, the 2009 inauguration of President Barack Obama, and the 2010 Haiti earthquake. She also served as a fill-in anchor for Good Morning America and World News Now.
In 2012, Schiavocampo left ABC News to join NBC News as a national correspondent. She has since reported on a number of major stories, including the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, the 2014 Ebola outbreak, and the 2016 presidential election.

Schiavocampo has won several awards for her work, including an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award. She has also been honored by the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences and the National Association of Black Journalists.
Schiavocampo is married to fellow television journalist Tony Dokoupil. The couple has two children.
