Keenan MacWilliam is a Canadian professional ice hockey player who is currently playing for the Edmonton Oilers of the National Hockey League (NHL). He was born on March 2, 1994, in Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. His parents are Doug and Kathy MacWilliam. He has two older brothers, Kyle and Dylan. Keenan MacWilliam grew up playing hockey and lacrosse.
He began his junior career with the Penticton Vees of the British Columbia Hockey League (BCHL). He then played four seasons of college hockey with the University of North Dakota, where he was named to the All-WCHA Second Team in his senior year. Keenan MacWilliam was drafted by the Oilers in the seventh round (188th overall) of the 2012 NHL Entry Draft. He made his NHL debut on October 14, 2014, against the Los Angeles Kings.
In his first NHL season, Keenan MacWilliam scored one goal and two assists in 36 games.
