John Quade is an American actor, best known for his role as Cholla in the film Every Which Way But Loose and its sequel Any Which Way You Can.

Born in Wichita, Kansas, on October 14, 1945, Quade was the youngest of three children. His father was a truck driver and his mother was a homemaker. Quade’s early education took place in Wichita public schools.

A talented athlete, Quade played football and baseball in high school. He also excelled in track and field, setting a state record in the shot put. After graduation, Quade attended Wichita State University on a football scholarship. He played for the Shockers for two years before an injury ended his career.

Quade began his acting career in the early 1970s, appearing in a number of regional theater productions. His big break came in 1978 when he was cast as Cholla, the right-hand man of Clint Eastwood’s character, in Every Which Way But Loose. The film was a huge box office success, grossing more than $100 million.

Quade reprised his role as Cholla in the 1980 sequel Any Which Way You Can. He also appeared in the films Bronco Billy (1980), Pink Cadillac (1989), and City Slickers II: The Legend of Curly’s Gold (1994).

In addition to his work in film, Quade has also appeared on television, including guest roles on such popular shows as Magnum, P.I., The A-Team, and The Dukes of Hazzard.

Quade has been married three times. His first marriage, to actress Linda Blair, ended in divorce after just two years. He was married to actress Catherine Bach from 1985 to 1991. Quade has been married to his third wife, Nancy, since 1992. The couple has two children.

Quade currently resides in Los Angeles, California. His net worth is estimated to be $5 million.
