Joe Judge is an American football coach who is the current head coach of the New York Giants of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach for the New England Patriots.

Judge was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is the son of a high school football coach. Judge played football and basketball in high school. He played football at the University of Alabama, where he was a member of the Crimson Tide’s 1992 national championship team. Judge graduated from Alabama in 1996 with a degree in marketing.

Judge began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, the University of Alabama, in 1997. He then served as an assistant coach at Mississippi State University (1998-2000), the University of Memphis (2001-2002), and Samford University (2003-2006). In 2007, Judge returned to Alabama as the Crimson Tide’s special teams coordinator and wide receivers coach. He held those positions until 2012, when he joined the New England Patriots as the team’s special teams coordinator.

During his time with the Patriots, Judge helped the team win three Super Bowls (XLVIII, LI, and LIII). In 2019, Judge was hired as the head coach of the New York Giants.

Judge is married to his high school sweetheart, Julie. The couple has three children.
