Jeff Hanson (born in 1968) is an American singer, songwriter and record producer. He is best known for his work with the band Hanson, as well as his solo career.

Jeff was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma, the middle child of three sons. His parents, Clarke and Diana Hanson, were both music teachers. Jeff began playing piano at an early age, and later took up guitar and drums. He was a member of his high school jazz band, and also played in a number of local rock bands.

After graduating from high school, Jeff attended the University of Tulsa, where he studied music composition. He later transferred to the Berklee College of Music in Boston. It was there that he met his future bandmates, Isaac and Taylor Hanson.

The three brothers formed Hanson in 1992, and released their debut album, Middle of Nowhere, in 1997. The album was a huge success, spawning the hit single “MMMBop.” Hanson went on to release two more albums, This Time Around (2000) and Underneath (2004), before going on an extended hiatus in 2006.

Jeff resumed his solo career in 2007, releasing his debut album, Madeline. He has since released two more albums, Blonde on Blonde (2009) and Starlight (2011). In addition to his work with Hanson, Jeff has also produced albums for other artists, including John Mayer and Kelly Clarkson.

Jeff is married to Nicole Dusome, with whom he has two daughters. The family resides in Los Angeles, California.
