James Glickenhaus is an American businessman, film director, and former racecar driver. He is the founder of Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, a racing team and car manufacturer.

Glickenhaus was born in New York City in 1945. His father was a successful stockbroker and his mother was a socialite. Glickenhaus was educated at private schools in New York and Connecticut. He developed a love for cars and racing at an early age, and began competing in amateur races while still in his teens.

After college, Glickenhaus worked for his father’s brokerage firm. He also began investing in racecars, and entered a few professional races as an amateur driver. In 1970, he made his directorial debut with the film The Racing Scene. The film was a critical and commercial failure, but Glickenhaus was undeterred. He continued to invest in racecars, and also began dabbling in real estate.

In the 1980s, Glickenhaus became more involved in the racing world, both as a driver and as an owner. He formed Scuderia Cameron Glickenhaus, a racing team that competed in both sports car and Formula One races. The team achieved some success, but was never a major player in either series. In the 1990s, Glickenhaus decided to focus on building road-going sports cars, and developed the Ferrari P4/5 by Pininfarina. The car was based on the Ferrari Enzo, and was one of the most expensive cars ever built at the time.

In the 2000s, Glickenhaus continued to build and race sports cars. He also became involved in the development of the new Ferrari FXX program. In 2010, he debuted his latest creation, the SCG003C, at the Nürburgring 24 Hours race. The car finished in second place overall, and won its class.

Glickenhaus is estimated to have a net worth of $200 million. He is married to Stacey Flickinger, with whom he has two children.
