Fred Jones is an American former professional basketball player. He played in the National Basketball Association (NBA) for eleven seasons. Jones was born in Portland, Oregon, and attended the University of Oregon, where he played college basketball for the Oregon Ducks. He was drafted by the Indiana Pacers in the 2002 NBA draft. Jones played for the Pacers for four seasons, and then for the Toronto Raptors, New York Knicks, Oklahoma City Thunder, and Los Angeles Clippers. He averaged 8.4 points per game in his NBA career. Jones was also a member of the United States national team that won a gold medal at the 2006 FIBA World Championship.
