Cindy Ambuehl is an American actress, model, and television personality. She was born on December 20, 1963 in San Bernardino, California, to parents of German, English, and Irish descent. She has two older sisters. Ambuehl was raised in a strict Catholic household and attended an all-girls Catholic high school. She began her modeling career after being discovered by a modeling scout at the age of 16.

She went on to model for various magazines and brands, including Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, and Calvin Klein. In 1986, she made her acting debut in an episode of the television series Miami Vice. She has since appeared in a number of film and television roles, including The Young and the Restless, JAG, NCIS, and The Mentalist. Ambuehl is married to actor Bradley Whitford.

They have two children together.
