Vik Sahay is a Canadian actor best known for his role as Lester Patel on the NBC comedy series Chuck.
Sahay was born in 1970 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to Indian immigrants. He has one older sister. Sahay’s parents were both doctors; his father was a cardiologist and his mother was an obstetrician/gynecologist.
Sahay attended St. George’s School in Montreal and later graduated from McGill University with a degree in English literature.
Sahay’s acting career began in the early 1990s with roles on the Canadian television series Street Legal and La Femme Nikita. He has also appeared in the films My Life Without Me (2003), Lucky Number Slevin (2006) and Walk All Over Me (2007).
Sahay’s breakout role came in 2007 with the NBC comedy series Chuck, where he played the role of Lester Patel for five seasons.
Since Chuck ended in 2012, Sahay has had guest roles on the television series Suits, The L.A. Complex and Lost Girl. He has also appeared in the films The Grand Seduction (2013) and The Second Best Exotic Marigold Hotel (2015).
Sahay is married to Canadian actress Rebecca Dalton. The couple have two sons together.
