Steve Lemme is an American actor, comedian, writer, and director, best known as a member of the Broken Lizard comedy group. He was born on November 13, 1968, in New York City, to parents of Italian and French-Canadian descent. Lemme was raised in upstate New York and attended Plattsburgh State University, where he majored in political science. After graduation, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in comedy.
Lemme began his career as a stand-up comedian, performing at various clubs and colleges throughout the country. He soon met the other members of Broken Lizard while they were all working at The Comedy Store in Hollywood. The group went on to write, produce, and star in the films Super Troopers (2001), Club Dread (2004), Beerfest (2006), and The Slammin’ Salmon (2009). Lemme has also appeared in a number of other films and television shows, including Freaks and Geeks, Orange County, and Reno 911!.
In addition to his work with Broken Lizard, Lemme has directed two films: Fat Kid Rules the World (2012) and Super Troopers 2 (2018). He has also written a number of screenplays, including those for Club Dread and Super Troopers 2.
Lemme is married to Julie Lemme and they have two children together. He has an estimated net worth of $8 million.
