Early Life

Edwards was born in St. Louis, Missouri, the daughter of a homemaker and a sales executive. She has two older sisters. Edwards attended high school in Kirkwood, Missouri, and graduated in 1983. She then studied acting at the Stella Adler Conservatory in Los Angeles.

Career

Edwards began her career in the early 1990s with guest roles on television shows such as Saved by the Bell: The New Class and Married… with Children. In 1996, she had a supporting role in the film Swingers. She also appeared in the films The Last Days of Disco (1998) and Hollow Man (2000).

In 2002, Edwards starred in the short-lived television series Presidio Med. She also had a recurring role on the television series Boston Legal from 2005 to 2006. In recent years, she has appeared in the films Smiley Face (2007) and All Good Things (2010).
