Scott Krinsky is an American actor, comedian, and writer. He is best known for his role as Jeff Barnes in the NBC comedy series Chuck.
Krinsky was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, on October 24, 1968. He is the son of Barbara (née Cohen) and Robert Krinsky. His father was a doctor and his mother was a homemaker. He has two sisters, Mindy and Amy. Krinsky was raised in a Jewish household.
He attended William Penn Charter School and then went on to study at Wesleyan University, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English.
Krinsky began his career as a stand-up comedian in the early 1990s. He has appeared in numerous television shows and films, including Curb Your Enthusiasm, The O.C., Monk, and The Wedding Crashers.
In 2007, Krinsky landed the role of Jeff Barnes in the NBC comedy series Chuck. The show ran for five seasons and ended in 2012.
Krinsky has also appeared in the films Office Space, Dodgeball: A True Underdog Story, and Transformers: Dark of the Moon.
