He has two older sisters. Hornsby was raised in Oakland, California. He attended Oakland High School, where he played football and ran track. He then attended the University of California, Berkeley, where he studied English and theater.
Hornsby’s acting career began in the late 1990s. He has appeared in numerous television shows and movies. He is best known for his role as Hank Griffin in the television series “Grimm” (2011-2017). He has also had recurring roles in the television series “ER” (1998-1999), “Lincoln Heights” (2007-2008), and “The Good Wife” (2012-2013). Hornsby’s film credits include “The Best Man” (1999), “Brown Sugar” (2002), “Get Rich or Die Tryin'” (2005), and “Fences” (2016).
Hornsby has been married to actress Michele Weaver since 2015. They have one child together.
