Arnold Schwarzenegger's personal stunt double, stand-in and friend (Dec 1984 - present)
Peter Kent is a Canadian journalist and politician who served as the Minister of the Environment in the Conservative government from 2011 to 2015. Kent was born in Toronto, Ontario, on December 23, 1943, the son of Audrey (née Hockin) and John Kent. His father was a news editor at The Toronto Star. Kent attended high school at North Toronto Collegiate Institute and then went on to study at the University of Toronto, where he earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in English literature. He later studied at the University of London on a Rhodes Scholarship, earning a Master of Arts degree in political science.
Kent began his career as a journalist, working for The Canadian Press and then as a reporter and editor at The Globe and Mail. He also worked as a news anchor at CTV and Global Television. In the early 1980s, he served as the press secretary to Prime Minister Pierre Trudeau. He later worked as a lobbyist for the Canadian Association of Broadcasters.
Kent was first elected to the House of Commons in 2006 as the Member of Parliament for Thornhill, Ontario. He was re-elected in 2008 and 2011. In May 2011, he was appointed Minister of the Environment by Prime Minister Stephen Harper. He served in this role until July 2015, when he was shuffled to the position of Minister of State for Foreign Affairs (Consular Affairs). He did not run for re-election in the 2015 federal election.
Kent has been married twice. His first marriage was to journalist Linda Diebel in 1971; they divorced in 1996. He married his second wife, Deborah Coyne, in 2000. He has three children from his first marriage and one from his second.
Kent has an estimated net worth of $2 million. His salary as a Cabinet minister was $233,000 in 2015. He also received a pension from his time as a journalist and broadcaster, which is estimated to be worth $40,000 per year.

[on women as stunt performers] A lot of times the guys are wearing pads and stuff under their pants. But then you'll get a woman in a skimpy dress doing a stair fall, and you can't hide anything under that. I give kudos to a lot of the stunt-women out there because many times they take way more of a beating than the men do. 'We want you to do this in a frigging negligee. Okay.'
