Nick Lazzarini is an American dancer and choreographer. He is best known as the winner of the first season of the Fox reality television series So You Think You Can Dance.
Lazzarini was born on October 6, 1984 in San Antonio, Texas. His parents are both of Italian descent. He has two older sisters. Lazzarini began dancing at the age of three. He studied ballet, jazz, and tap at the San Antonio Metropolitan Ballet. He also played football and ran track in high school.
Lazzarini’s dance career began when he was 18 years old. He moved to Los Angeles to pursue a career in dance. He has worked with some of the biggest names in the dance industry, including Justin Timberlake, Christina Aguilera, and Pink. He has also appeared in music videos for Rihanna and Beyoncé.
Lazzarini won the first season of So You Think You Can Dance in 2005. He has since appeared in the films Step Up 2: The Streets (2008) and Step Up 3D (2010). He has also choreographed for the television show Glee.
