Monica Lewis (born May 7, 1922) is an American actress, singer and voice artist. She is best known for her role as the voice of Chiquita Banana in the Chiquita Banana radio and television commercials from 1947 to 1951.

Born in Chicago, Illinois, Lewis was the only child of Ukrainian immigrants. Her father, Peter, was a violinist and her mother, Anna, was a piano teacher. Lewis began taking piano lessons at the age of five and made her stage debut as a singer at the age of eight.

Lewis’s career began in radio in the 1940s. She was the voice of Betty Crocker on the “Betty Crocker Show” and also had roles on “The Jack Benny Program” and “The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet”. In later years, Lewis continued to work as a voice artist, appearing in cartoons such as “The Flintstones”, “Scooby-Doo” and “The Simpsons”. She also had roles in video games such as “Grand Theft Auto: Vice City” (2002) and “Lego Dimensions” (2015).

The couple remained married until Archer’s death in 1999.
