Mike McCoy (born February 21, 1963) is an American football coach and former player. He is the current head coach of the Arizona Cardinals of the National Football League (NFL). He was previously the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos and San Diego Chargers. As a player, McCoy was a quarterback for the University of Utah from 1982 to 1986.
Early Life
McCoy was born in Salt Lake City, Utah. He is the son of Barbara and Gene McCoy. His father was a football coach at Granger High School in West Valley City, Utah. McCoy has three brothers and one sister. He attended Granger High School, where he played quarterback on the football team. McCoy then attended the University of Utah, where he played quarterback for the Utah Utes football team from 1982 to 1986.
Career
McCoy began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at the University of Utah in 1987. He then served as an assistant coach at Weber State University from 1988 to 1989 and at Colorado State University from 1990 to 1992. McCoy was the offensive coordinator at the University of New Mexico from 1993 to 1994. He then served as an assistant coach with the Kansas City Chiefs from 1995 to 2000 and the Carolina Panthers from 2001 to 2008. McCoy was the offensive coordinator for the Denver Broncos from 2009 to 2012. He then served as the offensive coordinator for the San Diego Chargers from 2013 to 2016. McCoy was hired as the head coach of the Arizona Cardinals in 2017.
McCoy has been named NFL Assistant Coach of the Year twice, in 2010 and 2012.

McCoy is married to Kellie McCoy. They have three children together.
