Merrill Osmond was born in Ogden, Utah on April 30, 1953. He is the eldest of nine children born to Olive and George Osmond. His parents were members of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and had a strong influence on Merrill and his siblings. Merrill grew up in a musical family and began performing with his brothers when he was just four years old. The Osmond Brothers were a popular singing group in the 1960s and 1970s, and Merrill was the lead singer. The group appeared on the popular television show, The Andy Williams Show, and had their own show, The Osmond Brothers Show.
Merrill continued to perform with his brothers after the group disbanded in the 1980s. He also pursued a solo career and released several albums. In addition to his musical career, Merrill has also appeared in television shows and movies. He has been married twice and has five children.
