Martin Luther King III (born October 23, 1957) is an American human rights advocate and community activist. He is the oldest son and middle child of civil rights leaders Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. His sister is Yolanda King, and his brother is Dexter Scott King.
King was born on October 23, 1957, in Montgomery, Alabama, to Martin Luther King Jr. and Coretta Scott King. He has two siblings: Yolanda, an actress and author; and Dexter, a businessman. His father was a Baptist minister and his mother was a homemaker.
King was educated at Morehouse College, where he earned a bachelor’s degree in political science. He also studied at the University of Massachusetts Amherst and the John F. Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
