Marta López is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a right back for Barcelona of the Primera Division. She is a member of the Spanish national team.

López was born on 5 January 1988 in Madrid, Spain. Her parents are Antonio López and María Teresa Bernal. She has two sisters, Sonia and Laura. López began her career with Atlético Madrid. She made her debut for the club in the 2006–07 season. In the 2009–10 season, she helped Atlético Madrid win the Primera Division title.

In 2010, López signed with Barcelona. She has won four Primera Division titles and three Copas de la Reina with Barcelona. In 2013, she was named the best right back in the world by FIFA.

López has represented Spain at the 2007 FIFA Women’s World Cup, the 2009 UEFA Women’s Championship, the 2011 FIFA Women’s World Cup, and the 2012 Summer Olympics.

López is married to David Villa, a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a striker for Major League Soccer club New York City FC. They have two children together.
