Lynn Herring is an American actress, best known for her role as Lucy Coe on the ABC soap opera General Hospital.
Herring was born in Smithfield, Virginia, on March 28, 1958. She is the daughter of a tobacco farmer and a homemaker. Herring has two sisters and one brother. She graduated from Smithfield High School in 1976.
Herring began her acting career in the early 1980s with guest roles on television shows such as The Dukes of Hazzard and Magnum, P.I.. In 1984, she landed the role of Lucy Coe on General Hospital. She has appeared on the show off and on for over three decades.
In addition to her work on General Hospital, Herring has also appeared in the films Teen Witch (1989) and Camp Nowhere (1994).
Herring has been married to actor Wayne Northrop since 1985. The couple has two children.
