John Medeski is an American keyboardist, composer and producer. He is a member of the jazz-rock band Medeski Martin & Wood, and has collaborated with a wide range of musicians including John Zorn, Bill Laswell, Iggy Pop, and Meshell Ndegeocello.

Medeski was born in Louisville, Kentucky, on August 3, 1965. His father was a jazz trumpet player and his mother was a classical pianist.
