Jim Perry (born October 30, 1935) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. He pitched from 1963 to 1975 for three different teams, the Minnesota Twins, the Cleveland Indians and the Toronto Blue Jays. He was a two-time All-Star and won the Cy Young Award in 1970.

Perry was born in Williamston, North Carolina. He attended Campbell University, where he played baseball and basketball. Perry was drafted by the Minnesota Twins in the 10th round of the 1957 MLB draft. He made his MLB debut with the Twins in 1963.

Perry was traded to the Cleveland Indians in 1968. He won the Cy Young Award in 1970, after going 24-12 with a 2.51 ERA and league-leading 276 strikeouts. Perry was traded to the Toronto Blue Jays in 1976. He retired from baseball after the 1975 season.

Perry’s career record is 215-174 with a 3.45 ERA and 2,045 strikeouts. He was inducted into the Canadian Baseball Hall of Fame in 1991.

Perry has three children from his first marriage, which ended in divorce. He married his second wife, Kathy, in 1992.

2Played basketball in college and was nicknamed "Big Jim" for his height. About the same height as fellow game show host Bob Barker, who also played basketball in college.
3After NBC canceled 'Sale of the Century', Jim decided to retire from hosting and moved to Oregon with his wife. A few years later, they relocated to the East Coast, splitting their time between North Carolina and Florida.
