Jeff Fatt is an Australian actor, musician, and television producer, best known for his role as Purple Wiggle in the children’s band The Wiggles.

Jeff was born in Sydney, Australia, on 21 October 1953, the youngest of three children. His parents were both accountants. Jeff has two older sisters, Jan and Jill. He was educated at St Aloysius’ College and the University of Sydney, where he graduated with a Bachelor of Economics degree.

Jeff’s career began in the early 1980s as a member of the Australian pop band The Cockroaches, who had a number of hits in Australia and New Zealand. He left the band in 1987 to pursue a solo career, but returned to The Cockroaches in 1989 for their farewell tour.

In 1991, Jeff was asked to join The Wiggles, a children’s musical group that was just starting out. He accepted, and became the Purple Wiggle. The Wiggles went on to become one of the most successful children’s entertainment groups in the world, selling millions of albums and DVDs and performing to sold-out audiences around the globe.

Jeff remained with The Wiggles until 2012, when he retired due to ill health. He was replaced by Sam Moran.

Since retiring from The Wiggles, Jeff has continued to work in the entertainment industry as a producer and consultant. He has also been involved in a number of philanthropic endeavors.

Jeff is married to Miki Berenyi and they have two children together. He also has two children from a previous marriage.

Jeff has been awarded a number of honorary degrees and other accolades for his work with The Wiggles and in the entertainment industry. In 2013, he was inducted into the ARIA Hall of Fame.
