Harley Jane Kozak is an American actress, author, and producer. She was born on January 28, 1957 in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, the United States to Dorothy (née Vojtko) and Joseph Aloysius Kozak. Her father was of Ukrainian descent and her mother was of Polish ancestry. She has two sisters, Leslie Kozak and Jody Kozak. She attended Wyoming Seminary and later graduated from Sarah Lawrence College.
Kozak’s first film role was in the 1981 film, The Hand. She has since appeared in films such as The Lost Boys, When Harry Met Sally…, Arachnophobia, Father of the Bride, and its sequel Father of the Bride Part II. On television, she had a leading role in the short-lived CBS drama series, Harts of the West. She also had recurring roles on the NBC sitcoms Cheers and Wings.
In recent years, Kozak has appeared in the films We Are What We Are and The Girl in the Book. She has also written two mystery novels, Dating Dead Men and Dating Is Murder.
Kozak has been married to actor Paul Le Mat since 1985. They have two daughters together.
