Glenn Hetrick is an American make-up artist, designer, and television personality. He is best known for his work on the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer, Angel, and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
Hetrick was born in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, on August 29, 1965. His parents were both teachers. He has two sisters. Hetrick’s early education was in the public school system of Harrisburg. He graduated from Central Dauphin High School in 1983.
Hetrick’s interest in make-up and design began in high school. He took classes in both areas and worked on school plays. After high school, Hetrick attended the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York City. He graduated with a degree in fashion design in 1987.
Hetrick’s first job in the entertainment industry was as an assistant to the costume designer on the television series The Equalizer. He later worked as a freelance make-up artist on a number of television shows and movies.
In 1992, Hetrick was hired as the head make-up artist for the television series Buffy the Vampire Slayer. He worked on the show for all seven seasons. He also worked on the spin-off series Angel.
In 2001, Hetrick was hired as one of the judges on the reality television series Face Off. The show features aspiring make-up artists competing against each other. Hetrick has appeared on all thirteen seasons of the show.
Hetrick has won three Emmy Awards for his work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel. He has also been nominated for four Saturn Awards.
Hetrick’s net worth is estimated to be $3 million. His salary from Face Off is not publicly known. However, he is known to have earned significant sums from his work on Buffy the Vampire Slayer and Angel.
