Fernanda Tavares (born October 22, 1980) is a Brazilian supermodel. Tavares was born in Natal, Rio Grande do Norte, Brazil, to a family of Portuguese descent. She has two sisters, Fabiana and Fernanda. Tavares began her modeling career at the age of 14, when she was discovered by a local agency. She soon moved to São Paulo, where she signed with Elite Model Management.

Tavares has appeared on the covers of Vogue, Harper’s Bazaar, Elle, and Marie Claire, among others. She has also appeared in campaigns for Givenchy, Dolce & Gabbana, Escada, Oscar de la Renta, Valentino, and Gucci.

In 2002, Tavares was named one of the “50 Most Beautiful People” by People magazine.

Tavares is married to French businessman Olivier Martinez. The couple have two sons together: Marcel (born 2009) and Pierre (born 2010).
