Dorian Missick is an American actor, known for his roles in the television series Six Degrees and Southland.
Missick was born in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Joyce, a teacher, and Darryl Missick, a lawyer. He has two sisters, Daria and Daryan. Missick’s father is African-American and his mother is of Irish and Italian descent.
Missick was raised in Virginia Beach, Virginia. He attended Virginia Commonwealth University on a football scholarship, but left after one year to pursue an acting career.
Missick’s first acting role was in the film Black and White (2000). He has also appeared in the films Miracle at St. Anna (2008), The Last Fall (2012), and The Purge: Anarchy (2014).
Missick has had recurring roles on the television series All My Children, The Shield, Boston Legal, and Lost. He has also guest-starred on such shows as CSI: Miami, Without a Trace, and The Office.
In 2006, Missick was cast as the lead in the ABC drama series Six Degrees. The show was cancelled after one season.
From 2009 to 2013, Missick starred as Detective Ray Carling in the TNT police drama Southland.
Missick has been married to actress Simone Missick since 2010. They have two children together.
