Deidre Hall is an American actress best known for her role as Dr. Marlena Evans on the NBC soap opera Days of Our Lives. She has played the role for more than four decades, and is considered one of the most popular and enduring soap opera stars of all time.

Born in Milwaukee, Wisconsin, on October 31, 1947, Hall is the eldest of three daughters. Her parents, Jean and Robert Hall, were both schoolteachers. When she was two years old, her family moved to Tallahassee, Florida, where she grew up.
Hall began her acting career in high school, appearing in school plays and community theater productions. After graduating from high school, she attended the University of Florida, where she studied drama. She then moved to New York City, where she worked as a model and an actress.
In 1971, Hall landed her first major role, on the soap opera Another World. She played the role of Laura Horton for two years before moving to Days of Our Lives in 1973. She has played Dr. Marlena Evans on the show ever since.
In addition to her work on Days of Our Lives, Hall has appeared in a number of made-for-television movies and feature films. She has also guest-starred on such television shows as Magnum, P.I., The Love Boat, and Touched by an Angel.

Hall has been married three times. Her first husband was actor Richard Dean Anderson; the couple divorced in 1976. She was married to actor Jon Lindstrom from 1987 to 1995; the couple had two children together. She is currently married to businessman Michael Dubelko; the couple has been married since 2001.
Throughout her career, Hall has won numerous awards, including a Daytime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actress in a Drama Series (1979) and a Soap Opera Digest Award for Outstanding Lead Actress (1987). In 2009, she was inducted into the Broadcasting Hall of Fame.
