Debbie Combs was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on May 5, 1961. She is the daughter of William and Nancy Combs. She has two sisters, Donna and Diane. Debbie Combs was a cheerleader in high school and was also active in her church youth group. She attended the University of Cincinnati, where she majored in communications.

After graduation, Debbie Combs began her career as a news reporter for a local television station in Cincinnati. She later became a news anchor for the same station. In 1989, she moved to Los Angeles to work as a news anchor for KTLA-TV. She remained with KTLA-TV for 10 years.

In 1999, Debbie Combs left KTLA-TV to join Fox News Channel. She worked as a correspondent for Fox News Channel until 2004. In 2004, she joined CNN as a national correspondent. She remained with CNN until 2010.

In 2010, Debbie Combs joined NBC News as a national correspondent. She is currently a national correspondent for NBC News and MSNBC.

Debbie Combs has won several awards during her career, including an Emmy Award and a Peabody Award.

Debbie Combs is married to Michael Tomsic. They have two children together.
