Carl Landry is an American professional basketball player who has played for various teams in the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on September 19, 1983 in Baton Rouge, Louisiana to Carl and Joyce Landry. He has two older sisters, Cheryl and Courtney. Landry attended Redemptorist High School in Baton Rouge, where he was a three-sport star in basketball, football, and track. He played college basketball for the University of Houston from 2002 to 2006. Landry was drafted by the Seattle SuperSonics in the second round of the 2006 NBA Draft.

He was traded to the Houston Rockets on draft night. He played for the Rockets from 2006 to 2010. Landry was traded to the New Orleans Hornets in 2010. He played for the Hornets from 2010 to 2011. Landry was traded to the Golden State Warriors in 2011.

He played for the Warriors from 2011 to 2012. Landry signed with the Sacramento Kings in 2012. He has played for the Kings since 2012. Landry has also played for the Indiana Pacers and the Philadelphia 76ers. ..
