Travis Browne (born July 17, 1982) is an American mixed martial artist who competes in the UFC’s heavyweight division. Browne was born in Oahu, Hawaii. His father was a kickboxer and his mother was a professional surfer. Browne has two sisters. Browne began his mixed martial arts (MMA) career in 2009. He won his first six fights before losing to James McSweeney in 2010.

Browne rebounded from this loss and won his next five fights, four of them by knockout. In 2012, Browne was signed by the UFC. In his UFC debut, he defeated Cheick Kongo. Browne has since gone on to defeat notable UFC heavyweights such as Josh Barnett, Alistair Overeem, and Fabricio Werdum. Browne is currently ranked #5 in the UFC’s heavyweight division.
