Steve Novak is an American professional basketball player who plays for the Milwaukee Bucks of the National Basketball Association (NBA). He was born on June 13, 1983, in Brown Deer, Wisconsin, to parents Karen and Steve Novak. He has two brothers, Matt and Tim. Novak attended Marquette University High School, where he played basketball and was a two-time All-State selection. He then played college basketball at Marquette University. As a senior, he was named the Conference USA Player of the Year.

Novak was drafted in the second round of the 2006 NBA draft by the Houston Rockets. He has also played for the New York Knicks, Dallas Mavericks, Utah Jazz, Los Angeles Clippers, and Toronto Raptors. He is known for his three-point shooting ability. In 2012–13, he set an NBA record for most three-pointers made in a season without attempting a single two-point field goal.

Novak has earned over $40 million in salary during his NBA career. He is married to Lauren Novak and they have two children together.
