Sean Maguire is an Irish actor and singer, best known for his role as Robin Hood in the BBC TV series Once Upon a Time. He has also appeared in the films The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian and The Scorpion King.
Maguire was born in Dublin, Ireland, on April 8, 1976, to parents Fiona (née McNulty) and Derek Maguire. He has two older sisters, Aoife and Niamh. Maguire was educated at St. David’s CBS Primary School and secondary school in Artane, Dublin.
Maguire’s first professional acting role was in the Irish soap opera Fair City, in which he played the character of Damien Tierney from 1992 to 1995. He subsequently appeared in a number of other television shows and films, including the British medical drama Casualty and the American action film The Scorpion King.
In 2011, Maguire was cast as Robin Hood in the ABC television series Once Upon a Time. He appeared in the show for four seasons, until 2015.
