Peter Frampton is a British rock musician, singer, songwriter, producer, and guitarist. He was born in Beckenham, Kent, England, on April 22, 1950, and raised in Bromley. His parents were Owen Frampton, a professional musician, and Peggy Frampton, a former actress. He has two older sisters, Jane and Joanna. Frampton began playing guitar at the age of eight. He attended Bromley Technical High School, where he studied art and music. He left school at age 16 to pursue a career in music.

Frampton’s early musical influences included the Beatles, the Rolling Stones, and Jimi Hendrix. He began his career playing in bands such as the Preachers, the Herd, and Humble Pie. Frampton’s live album, Frampton Comes Alive!, was released in 1976 and became one of the best-selling live albums of all time. It featured the hits “Show Me the Way,” “Baby, I Love Your Way,” and “Do You Feel Like We Do.” Frampton’s follow-up album, I’m in You (1977), was less successful commercially but still contained the hit single “I’m in You.”
