Mitch Gaylord (born August 14, 1960) is an American retired gymnast. He was a member of the gold-medal winning U.S. Olympic team at the 1984 Summer Olympics, where he won two silver medals and a bronze medal.
Gaylord was born in Van Nuys, California, and began gymnastics at the age of seven. He attended UCLA, where he was a member of the gymnastics team. He won the NCAA all-around championship in 1981 and 1982. He competed in the 1984 Summer Olympics, winning a gold medal in the team event, silver medals in the floor exercise and vault, and a bronze medal in the parallel bars.
Gaylord retired from gymnastics in 1984, and became a stuntman and actor. He has appeared in films such as The Karate Kid Part III (1989), Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles III (1993), and The Scorpion King (2002).
Gaylord has been married three times and has three children. He currently resides in Las Vegas, Nevada.
Gaylord was inducted into the USA Gymnastics Hall of Fame in 2003.
