Mirtha Legrand is an Argentine actress, television presenter, vedette and singer. She is considered one of the great entertainers of Argentine show business and one of the country’s most important television figures of the last fifty years.

Born in Buenos Aires on February 16, 1928, Mirtha Legrand was the only child of immigrants from the Basque Country in Spain. Her father, Pedro Legrand, was a doctor and her mother, Carmen Pino, was a homemaker.
Mirtha Legrand began her career as a model and actress in the 1940s. She appeared in several films during the Golden Age of Argentine Cinema, including El Último Cupido (1949), La Vida Continúa (1951) and El Hijo Pródigo (1955).
In the 1960s, Legrand became a television star with her own variety show, The Mirtha Legrand Show. The show was a huge success and made Legrand a household name in Argentina.
Legrand continued to appear on television throughout the 1970s and 1980s, hosting a number of popular shows such as Sábado Gigante (1973-1985) and Día D (1982-1985).

In the 1990s, Legrand retired from television and focused on her stage career. She appeared in a number of successful plays, including La Cage aux Folles (1991), The Odd Couple (1992) and The Sunshine Boys (1995).
Legrand returned to television in the 2000s with a new talk show, Mirtha on Sunday. The show was a hit with viewers and ran for six seasons.
In recent years, Legrand has appeared in a number of films, including The Secret in Their Eyes (2009), The Artist (2011) and Wild Tales (2014).
Legrand has been married three times. Her first husband was actor Armando Bó. The couple divorced in 1966. Her second husband was businessman Ricardo Muñoz Suay. The couple divorced in 1999. Legrand married her third husband, businessman Pedro Almodóvar, in 2013.

Legrand has two daughters from her first marriage, Sandra and Alejandra. She also has a stepdaughter from her third marriage, Paula Almodóvar.
At the age of 90, Legrand is still active in the entertainment industry. She continues to appear on television and stage, and has recently been working on a new film project.
