Max Casella is an American actor, voice actor, and musician. He was born on June 6, 1967, in Washington, D.C., to an Italian-American family. His father, Salvatore Casella, was a jazz trumpeter, and his mother, Frances (née DiGiacomo), was a homemaker. He has two older sisters, Gina and Tina. Casella was raised in the Bronx, New York. He attended the High School of Performing Arts, where he studied acting. He also played the drums in a band called The Young Rascals.

After high school, Casella moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career. He made his television debut in an episode of the sitcom Cheers in 1987. He has since appeared in numerous television shows and movies. Some of his most notable roles include Vincent “Vinnie” Delpino in Doogie Howser, M.D. (1989-1993), Danny DeVito’s son in The War of the Roses (1989), and Johnny Cammareri in Moonstruck (1987).

In addition to his acting career, Casella is also a musician. He plays the drums and percussion in the band The Young Rascals. The band has released two albums, The Young Rascals (1987) and Groovin’ (1988).

Casella has been married twice. His first marriage was to actress Lisa Darr from 1992 to 1995. They have one son together, Dante Casella-Darr (born 1993). His second marriage is to actress Karyn Parsons from 1999 to present. They have two children together, Maya Casella-Parsons (born 2001) and Leonardo Casella-Parsons (born 2003).
