Kieran Culkin is an American actor. He began his career as a child actor, appearing in the films Home Alone (1990), My Cousin Vinny (1992), and The Good Son (1993). He has since appeared in a number of independent films, including Igby Goes Down (2002) and Scott Pilgrim vs. the World (2010).
Culkin was born in New York City, the son of Patricia Brentrup and Kit Culkin, both of whom were stage actors and directors. His mother is of Irish descent and his father is of English, French Canadian, German, and Irish ancestry. He has seven siblings, including actors Macaulay Culkin, Rory Culkin, and Quinn Culkin. He attended a Catholic school, St. Joseph’s School in Greenwich Village, until fourth grade. He then attended the Professional Children’s School.
Culkin began acting at the age of four. He appeared in a Off-Broadway play The Nutcracker Suite in 1984. His first film role was a small part in Uncle Buck (1989), followed by a role in Home Alone (1990) as Kevin McCallister’s younger brother, Fuller. He also appeared in My Cousin Vinny (1992) and The Good Son (1993).
In the mid-1990s, Culkin appeared in several independent films, including The Mighty (1998), Party Monster (2003), and Saved! (2004). He also had a role in the 2006 film Igby Goes Down, which received mixed reviews but was a box office success. In 2010, he starred in Scott Pilgrim vs. the World, an adaptation of the graphic novel series Scott Pilgrim. The film was a critical and commercial success.

I certainly had a better, less hectic life than Mac. He took all the pressure at home and on movie sets. My dad basically left me alone because I wasn't making enough money to warrant his scrutiny.

Until my brother Mac started making major money, our house was really wild. The outside world didn't know how chaotic our life was because, though we'd live at home like a bunch of little critters, we'd go off to school and act all sedate and normal. Trust me, there is no such thing as normal for a Culkin.
