Kevin Bishop is an English actor, comedian, and writer. He is known for his roles in the television series The Kevin Bishop Show, Star Stories, and Not Going Out, as well as the films The History Boys and The Bad Education Movie.
Bishop was born in London, England, on October 30, 1976. His parents are both English. He has two older sisters. Bishop was educated at the independent Latymer Upper School in Hammersmith, London. He then studied drama at the University of Manchester.
Bishop’s first television role was in the sitcom The Kevin Bishop Show, which he wrote and starred in. The show ran for two series on Channel 4 from 2007 to 2009. Bishop then appeared in the BBC comedy series Star Stories, playing a variety of celebrities. He also had a recurring role in the BBC sitcom Not Going Out as Lee Mack’s character’s brother.
In 2006, Bishop made his film debut in The History Boys, directed by Nicholas Hytner. He also appeared in the 2015 film The Bad Education Movie, based on the TV series of the same name.
Bishop has been married to his wife, Sarah, since 2010. They have two children together.
