Early Life
Ferguson was born in Hacienda Heights, California, on March 27, 1975, to parents Theresa Ann (née Gore) and Jon Patrick Ferguson. Her ancestry includes Irish, Scottish, English, Mexican, and Native American. She has two older sisters: Dana and Lisa Ferguson. Her parents divorced when she was young and her mother remarried to Randy Wolfe, with whom Ferguson has a stepsister named Amy. Wolfe is the son of country music singer Roy Orbison.
Ferguson was raised Roman Catholic and attended Mesa Robles Middle School and Glen A. Wilson High School. She was a cheerleader, straight-A student and a member of the drama club while in high school. Ferguson graduated from high school in 1993 and then attended California State University, Northridge where she studied musical theater.
