Eddie Matos is an actor, singer, and dancer best known for his work on the Broadway stage. He was born on October 10, 1975 in San Juan, Puerto Rico. His parents, both of whom were musicians, encouraged him to pursue his passion for the performing arts. Matos began his career as a child actor, appearing in various television commercials and stage productions. He made his Broadway debut in the musical “Rent” in 1996. Since then, he has appeared in such Broadway hits as “The Lion King”, “Avenue Q”, and “In the Heights”. Matos has also appeared on television, in films, and in regional theatre productions. He is currently married to fellow actor Daphne Rubin-Vega. They have two children together.
