David Silva is a Spanish professional footballer who plays as a midfielder for English club Manchester City and the Spanish national team.
Born in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, Silva began his career at local club Málaga CF, before moving to Valencia CF aged 14. He spent six years at Valencia, where he won the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Cup. He then moved to Manchester City in 2010, where he has won two Premier League titles, four League Cups and an FA Cup.
Silva has also been capped 125 times for Spain, winning the 2010 FIFA World Cup and the 2012 UEFA European Championship. He was named in the FIFA World Cup Dream Team in 2010 and the UEFA Team of the Tournament in 2012.

David Silva was born on 8 January 1986 in Gran Canaria, Canary Islands, to Fernando Silva and Eva Silva. He has a younger brother, Fernando Silva, who is also a footballer.
Silva began his career at local club Málaga CF, where he played for four years. He then moved to Valencia CF aged 14. He spent six years at Valencia, where he won the Copa del Rey and the UEFA Cup.
Career
Silva made his professional debut for Valencia in the 2004–05 season. He helped Valencia win the Copa del Rey in the 2007–08 season. He also helped Valencia reach the final of the UEFA Cup in the 2007–08 season.
In the 2010–11 season, Silva helped Manchester City win their first Premier League title. He also helped Manchester City win the League Cup in the 2013–14 season. In the 2015–16 season, he helped Manchester City win their second Premier League title.
