1[on addressing the skepticism of climate-change deniers] I make a concerted effort to do conservative media. People go, "Oh no, don't do that. They'll eat you alive." But I don't care; that's what I need to do. I need to reach those people and at least give them the opportunity to listen to the information. I really believe if people have information, they will make wise decisions.
2I was a daydreamer when I was a child and I still am. I like fantasy a lot. It would be great if I could always play mythological characters.
3I feel like I'm about 7. I always get shocked when I look in the mirror and see a grown-up.
4[on her arrest for protesting the demolition of Los Angeles' South Central garden] I'm not thrilled about it, but I felt it was important to sustain my commitment.

1Has appeared in two movies that were filmed in Santa Barbara County, California: My Favorite Martian (1999) and Cowboy Up (2001).
2Signed environmental activist Tom Weis' open letter calling on President Obama and Governor Romney to withdraw their support for the Keystone XL pipeline. Other signatories included climate scientist James Hansen and actors Sheryl Lee and Mariel Hemingway. [September 2012]
3(2010-2011) Supported environmental activist Tom Weis' "Ride for Renewables" to promote renewable energy.
4(May 14, 2011) Attended the iMatter March against climate change in Denver, Colorado.
5In an interview with British newspaper, "The Guardian", in February 2010, she stated that her favourite role was that of "Pris" in Blade Runner (1982) and her low points were movies that she had done just for the cash and that, hopefully, went straight to video.
6Born at 3:30 PM (CST).
7Auditioned for the role of Emmeline Lestrange for The Blue Lagoon (1980), that ultimately went to Brooke Shields.
8Was considered for the role of Mia Wallace in Pulp Fiction (1994), but Uma Thurman was cast instead.
9Produces a "green" vlog called "" which focuses on healthy living, renewable energy, and sustainable farming.
10A story on America's Most Wanted: America Fights Back (1988) showed how she goes undercover to help rescue children as young as 6 years old from the brothels in Bangkok.
11The box-office performance of Splash (1984) was a large part of the reason that the Walt Disney company greenlighted not only a made-for-television sequel, but also its animated feature The Little Mermaid (1989). However, the fact that her character was blonde inspired the company to go in a radically different direction for its new heroine. For this reason, the choice was made that Ariel would have red hair.
12(June 13, 2006) Was forcibly removed from a walnut tree on a South Central Los Angeles Community farm where she had stayed for 23 days to protest the sale of the farm to developers. Forty other protesters were arrested at the same time. Fellow activist Joan Baez also participated in the protest.
13She turned down the role of Vivian Ward in Pretty Woman (1990) because she felt it was denigrating to women. However, she went on to appear in Dancing at the Blue Iguana (2000) as a stripper.
14As a keen environmentalist, Daryl lives off of solar power and drives a car that runs off of recycled fast food grease.
15Parents are Donald Christian Hannah and Susan Jeanne Metzger Vanderburg.
16She attended the 2005 Gumball 3000 car race with Tina Basich. They drove a pink Range Rover Hybrid that used biodiesel made from cooking oil as fuel.
17Is portrayed by Tara Chocol in America's Prince: The John F. Kennedy Jr. Story (2003).
18Good friends with John Corbett
19On two occasions has run after and captured muggers in New York City. She says that both men's faces displayed mixed emotions when they realized who was sitting on their chests, holding them for police.
20Is a vegan.
21Sister-in-law of Lou Adler.
22Suffers from agoraphobia (fear of open spaces), a phobia she kept secret for many years, fearing it might ruin her acting career
23Since there was no girls' soccer team at Francis W. Parker School in Chicago, she played on the boys' team. Anne Heche graduated from this same school.
24Made McCall's "10 Best Female Bodies In America" list in 1984.
25Was in a serious relationship with John Kennedy Jr. for several years, but never married due to Jacqueline Kennedy's disapproval of her son marrying an actress. She has also dated Warren Beatty, Jackson Browne, Val Kilmer and Brad Renfro.
26As a child, she was so shy that at one point she was diagnosed as borderline autistic. Even today, she says she likes to just sit in a corner and observe people.
27Is missing part of her left hand index finger. She sometimes uses a prosthetic finger in movies.
28Chosen by Empire magazine as one of the 100 Sexiest Stars in film history (#96) (1995).
29Listed as one of twelve "Promising New Actors of 1984" in John Willis' Screen World, Vol. 36 (1984).
30Stepniece of Haskell Wexler and Yale Wexler. Stepdaughter of Jerrold Wexler.
31Sister of Page Hannah and Don Hannah. Older half-sister of Tanya Wexler.
32Her childhood interest in movies grew out of a lifelong battle with insomnia.
33Attended and graduated from the University of Southern California School of Theatre.
