Daron Roberts is an American football coach and former player. He is currently the head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the Canadian Football League (CFL). He played college football at the University of Texas, and was signed by the New England Patriots as an undrafted free agent in 2004.

Roberts was born in Austin, Texas. His father, Mike, was a high school football coach, and his mother, Sharon, was a schoolteacher. Roberts has two older sisters, Amy and Katie. Roberts was a three-sport athlete at Austin High School, playing football, basketball, and track. He was named an All-State wide receiver in football as a senior.

Roberts attended the University of Texas, where he played wide receiver for the Texas Longhorns football team from 2000 to 2003. He finished his career with 73 receptions for 1,069 yards and eight touchdowns. Roberts was a member of the Longhorns team that won the 2001 BCS National Championship.

After going undrafted in the 2004 NFL Draft, Roberts was signed by the New England Patriots as a free agent. He was released by the Patriots before the start of the regular season. Roberts then had brief stints with the Dallas Cowboys and Cleveland Browns. He also played for the Rhein Fire of NFL Europe in 2005.

Roberts began his coaching career as a graduate assistant at his alma mater, Texas, in 2006. He then served as an assistant coach at West Virginia University (2007-2008), Sam Houston State University (2009-2010), and the University of Houston (2011-2012). In 2013, Roberts was hired as the defensive backs coach at the University of Michigan.

In January 2019, Roberts was hired as the head coach of the Hamilton Tiger-Cats of the CFL.

Roberts is married to his wife, Julie. The couple has two children together, a son named Jack and a daughter named Kate.
